Our story

Built on a kitchen table in Saint Cloud

Henry Bagho Charity Organization Inc. began because families on this side of Osceola County needed a door that opened on a Tuesday night, not a waiting list six counties away.

Origin & history

From a mailbox on Playa Del Sol Lane

The registered office is still 1170 Playa Del Sol Ln, Saint Cloud, FL 34771. Eric Ochala H Bagho filed the federal paperwork so neighbors would have a public charity they could trust with a grocery receipt and a rent notice. The Internal Revenue Service recognized the organization as exempt under IRC §501(c)(3) effective January 1, 2023. Letter 947 followed on May 11, 2023. The public-charity classification is §509(a)(2). The accounting year ends December 31. Form 990 is required, and we treat that filing as a public document, not an afterthought.

Early work was unglamorous and close to home: a cooler of meals in the car, a bilingual intake notebook, and phone calls after a storm knocked out power east of Narcoossee Road. Vietnamese-speaking families, Haitian neighbors, and long-time Saint Cloud households all used the same folding table. The mission never needed a new sentence. It was already clear: support struggling families, raise the quality of daily life, and build lasting community welfare programs.

The long-term roadmap is still local. We want a predictable Tuesday kitchen, a standing Saturday mentoring hour, a weekday skills lab for people who lost a shift at the warehouses along the 192 corridor, and a crisis fund that can move a utility payment in forty-eight hours. Growth, for us, means more families finishing the month with the lights on —not a larger brand.

How we decide

Five values that show up in the ledger

We write these on the inside cover of the intake binder. If a proposed project cannot meet them, we do not raise money for it.

Compassion

We start with the story in front of us: a shut-off date, a child missing lunch, an elder who has not had a visitor since Sunday.

Integrity

The name on the IRS letter, the name on the check, and the name on the door are the same. We do not hide related-party deals.

Direct Impact

Eighty-eight cents of every donated dollar is budgeted for programs that a family can feel in the same month.

Radical Transparency

EIN, officer, address, determination letter, and Form 990 search are published on this site without a login wall.

Community First

We hire and volunteer from Saint Cloud and Kissimmee first. Outside vendors are the exception, not the habit.

Governance

Meet the four officers who hold the keys

The board is small on purpose: president, treasurer, secretary, and program director. Each seat has a named person, a written job, and a public biography.
